Bryony Hamerton

Senior yoga instructor, yoga therapist and experienced teacher trainer Bryony is the founder of Be-Yoga centre in Haywards Heath, Sussex, with 13 years and 10000+ hours of teaching, she brings a wealth of knowledge and skill to her classes and training programmes. 

Founder of the Be Academy of Yoga, since 2014, Bryony has organised and delivered training in yoga and therapeutic techniques, including mindfulness, meditation and somatic movement.  She works as a supervisor on The Minded Institute Yoga Therapy 550 hr training, having completed the training herself in 2017.

Ever a student and developing her teaching skills with further training and continual, evolving practice, Bryony continues to train with Shiva Rea in India, London and Greece.

Bev Hetheringon

Bev was introduced to yoga when she was about 7 years old by her mum and has practised on and off ever since. For the past 10 years yoga has become a permanent part of her every day life and she has studied with Jo Manuel at Yoga for the Special Child and Yoga Haven. Alongside teaching yoga, Bev is also a Naturopathic Nutritionist.

Julie Kamel

Julie’s yoga teaching combines creative and intelligently sequenced classes that challenge the body in playful ways, whilst combining the powerful practices of breathwork, meditation and mudra to heighten our inner awareness. Classes are accessible to all, Julie is able to challenge students while those newer to yoga are given appropriate modifications and guidance so everyone is supported in opening to their highest potential.

Silas Tyack

Silas trained with The Special Yoga centre in London to teach yoga and mindfulness to teenagers. A long career in residential care for children and young people informs Silas' classes, he teaches with compassion and a sense of humour.

Penny Rae

Penny was introduced to yoga over 20 years ago whilst working in London and a yoga teacher came to offer classes in the office. Following a passion to practice hot yoga Penny stared teacher training in 2014 and has now been teaching yoga for over 10 years and loves to teach vinyasa flow in the heat as well as yin and restorative. Penny has been teaching at Be Yoga regularly since 2015 and usually teaches nourishing flow on Tuesday & Saturday.

Fiona McBride

Yoga has been part of Fiona’s world on and off through the years, in 2018 she found herself being drawn to her yoga mat on a regular basis. Fiona found yoga became a place which provided her with space to ‘just be’, also strength, grounding and peace. Fiona became a regular at her local yoga studio and decided at the start of 2019 to take teacher training.

Since qualifying with Be Yoga Sussex in June 2019, Fiona teaches regularly in person and online, offering Hatha flow, Vinyasa flow and Restorative yoga, all with a focus on mindful movement, grounding and connecting with the breath. Fiona is an avid reader of yoga books, plus enjoys listening to yoga podcasts deepening her understanding and knowledge of this wonderful ancient practice.
